Songtext:

[Chorus 1: Sakura]
All the memories of hate
And the lies
Don’t you know eventually we pay the price
All my hopes and the dreams will survie
Realize, we got to keep the faith alive

[TUPAC Verse]
Time to question our lifestyle, look how we live
Smokin weed like it ain’t no thang, so even kids
wanna try now, they lie down and get ran through
Nobody watched ‘em clockin the evil man do
Faced with the demons, addicted to hearin victims screamin
Guess we was evil since birth, product of cursed semens
Cause even our birthdays is cursed days
A born thug in the first place, the worst ways
I’d love to see the block in peace
With no more dealers and crooked cops, the only way to stop the beast
And only we can change
It’s up to us to clean up the streets, it ain’t the same
Too many murders, too many funerals and too many tears
Just seen another brother buried plus I knew him for years
Passed by his family, but what could I say?
Keep yo’ head up and try to keep the faith
And pray for better days

[Tasha Verse]
Damn
How did we get here?
We’re living in fear
How history repeats itself, can never steer clear
Cries for help, ringing my ear from the sheer terror of it all
I shed a tear, can’t disappear, sometimes I wish the end was near
But
Back to reality, where
Life still exist, we’re
Still on this earth, but we got shackles on the wrist
Must be the reason why you never start to even lend a hand
Too caught up in your ways for you to try to understand

[Chorus 2: Sakura]
All the memories of hate
And the lies
Don’t you know eventually we pay the price
All my hopes and dreams, they seem so far away
I’m a sing a song and pray for better days

[TUPAC Verse]
Now me and you was real cool, hell on them square fools
Since back in high school, we was true, me and you
Hardly parted or seperated, we stayed faded
Affiliated with gangbangers and still made it
Up in the gym, mess with me, gotta mess with him
Still dressin like grown men when rollin
I went to dark, smokin Newports, gamin marks
Got a place in my heart, homey stay smart
Locked you up in the pen, and gave you three to ten
I send you letters with naked flicks of old friends
Hopin you well, I know it’s hell
Doin time in the cells, you need mail, when you in jail

[Tasha Verse]
So there you have it, my whole life with all this memories
I’m trying to figure out
How to set all of my pain free
Sometimes, I wish that I can turn the hands of time back
So I could
Rewrite the wrong and put my life back on the right track
Wake up to reality, trying to accept the way it is
They say that life’s not what you take, it’s your willingness to give
That’s why I wrote this song in hopes to heal the pain within
Cause after that, I know that’s when my life truly begins

[Chorus 1: Sakura]
All the memories of hate
And the lies
Don’t you know eventually we pay the price
All my hopes and the dreams will survie
Realize, we got to keep the faith alive

[Tasha Verse]
Imprinted in our minds, from the minute we were born, with
Misconceptions of life, that’s how our lives get torn
I say we wake up from this dream and let the sunlight in
So we can help each other heal the pain within

TUPAC Speaks

[Chorus 2: Sakura]
All the memories of hate
And the lies
Don’t you know eventually we pay the price
All my hopes and dreams, they seem so far away
I’m a sing a song and pray for better days

Snoop Knows who killed Tupac

The events leading up to September 7, 1996, the tragic day Tupac was shot are as controversial as the shooting itself. It was said that there were some problems between DeathrowÂ’s lawyer and SugeÂ’s right hand man, David Kenner and Tupac. On August 26th, 12 days before Tupac was shot, he was on the set all day and at the studio all night. On the 27th, he sent Yaasmyn Fula, who managed his business affairs, to the studio to get tapes of what he was done. Deathrow would not allow her access to the tapes as David Kenner, DeathrowÂ’s lawyer and SugeÂ’s right hand man, denied her the tapes. ItÂ’s rumored that Tupac had Yaasmyn write Deathrow a letter saying that Tupac had finished his last album and would be leaving Deathrow. Tupac later went back to LA, and although he wanted to go to Atlanta to visit relatives, Suge convinced Tupac to go to the Tyson/Seldon fight in Las Vegas as he had promised. The Tyson vs. Seldon boxing match was held Saturday, September 7, 1996. Tupac and Suge sat up front and Tupac cheered Tyson on as he had done so many times before. The fight lasted only 109 seconds. While walking through the lobby of the MGM grand after the fight the entourage noticed Orlando Anderson. In a prior incident in a Lakewood Mall, Orlando Anderson stole Travon LaneÂ’s Death Row medallion that happened to be a personal give from Suge Knight. Tupac stepped up to Orlando and said “You from the south?” Tupac then punched him in the face knocking him on the ground, after which Suge and the Deathrow entourage proceeded to beat him. Rumors surrounding the shooting have OrlandoÂ’s Anderson with Jerry Bonds driving the white Cadillac while Dwayne Keith Davis (Keefee D) was the shooter. An article in Details magazine stated that Orlando and his brother wanted to start a studio, but didnÂ’t have the resources. Allegedly after the shooting they came into some money, and the possibility of a pay off for some role in the shooting is possible. Anderson, an alleged crip who claims heÂ’s not affiliated, also denied the shooting and stated he was a possible scapegoat. He was shot 2 years later in an incident outside a car wash.

A late-model Cadillac with four men inside pulled up directly to the right of the BMW and sprayed 13 rounds into the car. Police reported that a .45 was shot, but itÂ’s believed that information was withheld to identify the real shooter; apparently a .9mm was used. Tupac saw it going down and tried to jump into the back seat. He was hit twice, one bullet hit him his leg and ricocheted up into his lung. Suge was hit in the head with a piece of shrapnel. There were reports that gunfire was returned, but this has been debated and has not been verified completely. The Cadillac turned right onto Koval Lane and vanished. Some cars in the entourage tried to follow the Cadillac but it seemingly disappeared.

2Pac – Brenda’s Got A Baby

November 9, 2008 by admin

Best video clip and song from 2Pac’s 2Pacalypse Now album. “Brenda’s Got a Baby” is rapper Tupac Shakur’s debut solo single, taken from his album 2Pacalypse Now. The song is about a fictional 12-year old girl named Brenda who lives in a ghetto, has a baby, and is incapable of supporting it. The song explores the issue of teen pregnancy and its effect on the young mothers and their families. Like many of Shakur’s songs, “Brenda’s Got a Baby” draws from the plight of the impoverished. Using Brenda as a metaphor for young mothers everywhere, Tupac criticises the low level of support from the babies’ father, the government, and society in general.
